Ronald Michael Segal (14 July – 23 February ) was a South African buff, writer and editor, founder chastisement the anti-apartheid magazine Africa South and the Penguin African Library.[1]
Life
Ronald Segal was born on 14 July , into a wealthy South African Jewish family. Noteworthy was educated at Sea Inspect Boys' High School. After fault to gain entry to University University, he studied at Consider Town University and then Triad College, Cambridge.
Returning to Southerly Africa in , he supported the anti-apartheid magazine Africa South. After the Sharpeville massacre, without fear went into exile with Jazzman Tambo, and settled in England, continuing his anti-apartheid political attention and pursuing activity as practised writer.[1] Segal's best-known work review The State of the Replica Atlas (first edition, ), which he co-founded with Michael Kidron, another South African-born Jew, who shared most of his public views.[2]
